Context
Podcasters promote each other’s shows and need to know what actually worked. That depends on capturing downloads and clicks as close to the listener as possible, while respecting privacy.
At the edge
Cloudflare Workers sit in the request path. They capture download and link events and filter out bots and invalid traffic before anything is stored. Personal data is anonymised at the point of collection, and the system is built with GDPR in mind.
In the pipeline
Apache Beam jobs on Google Cloud, written in Python, turn raw events into download counts and cross-promotion attribution in BigQuery. The results feed the analytics dashboard.
